Thanks for putting my name up
Samurize - http://www.samurize.com/ is another desktop widget program similar to konfabulator, but far superior IMO. Also, AutoGordianKnot is a pretty useful divx/xvid encoder used to compress DVD format to 700meg divx/xvid format with virtually no quality loss - http://gordianknot.sourceforge.net/

Virtual Dimension is the best Window’s virtual desktop program I’ve found:
http://virt-dimension.sourceforge.net/
Comment by chris — September 15, 2005 @ 5:02 am
Take a look at as a TextPad replacement. It has almost the same features (and more) and is freeware.
For encoding movies there’s also the open source .
And, IMO is a much better archive utility than 7-zip.

Take a look at PSPad as a TextPad replacement. It has almost the same features (and more) and is freeware.
For encoding movies there’s also the open source Dr. Divx.
And, IMO IZArc is a much better archive utility than 7-zip.

instead of tsw webcoder, I would rather recommend NVU. Its Open source and easy to use. You don’t have to go to all the pain in registering.
